I'm thinking about getting a new guitar, but I'm not sure what kind to get. I've thought about a twelve string (acoustic, or electric), or a Stratocaster. Right now i have an Epiphone Les Paul, Ibanez AS73L, and a cheap Washburn acoustic.
Are there any suggestions on what should be my next purchase?

I have the Epi Les Paul, don't know why you'd ever want another! Though if you'd describe your acoustic as "cheap" I'd suggest upgrading that, maybe a Takamine or a Tanglewood. Stay AWAY from the Strat :P

one of my friends has a really nice Takamine that I might try to buy from him. a few other people have told me the same thing about Strats, what's so bad about them? the only problem i have with them is I hit the pick guard occasionally when i start playing them because the strings are so much lower than on my Epiphone

2) The singlecoil pickups are a pain in the ass, they produce so much extraneous noise. It's bad enough for regular play, but when you go to record it sounds ten times as bad.
